George Clinton’s P-Funk collective released the same music under three names more or less interchangeably — Parliament, Funkadelic, and Clinton’s own solo billing — so we group them as one body of work here. These records are among the most sampled in history, and several share a tangled ownership thread: the Funkadelic masters passed through court rulings in 2001, 2005 and 2012, documented across these pages.
